Clark’s School of Business faculty are actively engaged in conducting, presenting, and publishing research that advances our knowledge of important financial, social, economic, and environmental issues relevant to management best practices. Our faculty includes investment market experts, portfolio managers, analysts, applied researchers, and executives whose research aims to advance management theory and practice.

The School of Business faculty have recently presented or published numerous works on such topics as alternative investments; factors influencing purchasing decisions; strengthening health care organizations; managing workplace diversity; protecting employee rights and enhancing employee well-being; strengthening corporate environmental sustainability practices; improving government effectiveness; and enhancing linkages between universities and their communities.

Recent Research Highlights

  • Dr. Abdullah Asilkalkan had a paper titled, A Parsimonious Tree Augmented Naive Bayes Model for Exploring Colorectal Cancer Survival Factors and Their Conditional Interrelations in “Information Systems Frontiers.”
  • Drs. Rita Wang, Kyunghee Yoon, and David Tang had a paper titled, Audit Quality Under Remote Working Arrangement: The Role of Workforce Technology Competency accepted for publication in the “Journal of Information Systems.” It is an American Accounting Association journal.
  • Drs. Fei Fang and David Tang had a coauthored paper titled, Why Do Insiders Sell Stocks After Receiving Options? accepted for publication in Applied Economics.
  • Drs. Siti Parida and Fei Fang have a co-authored paper titled, Climate Policy Regime Change and Mutual Fund Flows: Insights from the 2020 US Election, which has been accepted for publication in the “International Review of Financial Analysis.”
  • Dr. David Tang had a paper titled, Provincial economic growth and firm excess investment: Evidence from China, accepted by “Economic Modelling.”

All of the above mentioned journals are ranked A or A* by the ABDC Journal Quality List.

Faculty Research Seminar Series

The School of Business Faculty Research Seminar Series is an interdisciplinary vehicle for the discussion of academic research. The goal of the seminar series is to provide a local forum for interaction that supports the development of research-in-progress into high-quality papers and presentations that contribute to the theory, practice, and teaching of management and related fields.
